The AFL finals are upon us, and only the Hawthorn Hawks stand in the way of the Richmond Tigers moving to within one game of a second straight grand final. This is The Roar‘s guide to streaming the match online and watching it on TV.

The first bounce of the match is scheduled for 7:20pm (AEST) on Thursday, September 6, with the venue being the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

Richmond, backing up their premiership from last year, finished at the top of the ladder after the regular season, while Hawthorn bounced back from outside the finals to finish in fourth spot, sneaking into a second chance should they lose this weekend.

How to watch the match on TV

If you are looking to tune into the match on TV, there will be two options for you to do so.

The first of those is through Fox Footy, which is exclusively available on Foxtel. They will go live with their coverage at 6:30pm, allowing for 50 minutes of pre-game discussion.

To watch the coverage on Fox Footy though, you will need to have access to a valid Foxtel TV subscription, which also includes the sports pack.

If you’d prefer to watch the game on free-to-air TV, then you will be wanting to go through Channel 7, which can be found on Channel 70 in high definition and 71 in standard definition.

In some states, the game will be shown on 7Mate. As always, refer to your electronic programming guide to confirm those details.

How to live stream the match online

There are also multiple options available to those wanting to stream the match online.

The best option will be to stream through one of Foxtel’s exclusive streaming applications, either the Foxtel App or Foxtel Now.

The app is better to use if you already have a TV subscription, while signing up to now will be the option without a TV subscription.
