The minor premier Sydney Roosters will be looking to get their finals campaign off to a good start when they clash with the Cronulla Sharks. This match kicks off at 7:40pm (AEST) on Saturday, September 8 at Allianz Stadium.

It’s been another excellent home-and-away season for the Roosters under Trent Robinson, with the club wrapping up their fourth minor premiership in six seasons.

The ultimate success, however, has proved harder to come by. They’ll be desperate for this finals series to result in silverware after many years of heartbreak.

Cronulla, on the other hand, are looking to give their maiden 2016 trophy a partner and, after a very consistent 2018 campaign, have given themselves every chance of doing so.

These sides met just once in the home-and-away season, with the Roosters walking away from Shark Park with a convincing 28-10 victory in Round 5.
