An all-Sydney derby awaits as the Sydney Swans and GWS Giants attempt to keep their premiership hopes alive in the second AFL elimination final. This is The Roar’s guide to streaming the game online and watching it on TV.

The first bounce is scheduled for 4:20pm (AEST) on Saturday, September 8 at the Sydney Cricket Ground.

The Swans finished the regular season in sixth position, but will be confident of going deep into September given they are the most experienced side of all the teams qualified for the finals.

They will also likely be boosted by the return of two of their strongest players in Lance Franklin and Luke Parker.

Sydney were valiant without their pair in their last-start defeat to Hawthorn, falling by nine points.

This week they return home to the SCG, where they have won seven of their past eight finals matches.

They take on a Giants outfit who they have defeated twice in 2018.

The two sides have only met once in finals and that time it was GWS who came out on top, upsetting the Swans by 36 points in 2016.

Where to watch the game on TV

Free-to-air viewers can catch the game live on the Seven Network. Their coverage will begin at 3:30pm (AEST).

Where to watch the game online

There are two ways you can stream Saturday afternoon’s derby live.

The first is through one of Foxtel’s live streaming application, either Foxtel Now or the Foxtel App.

The other alternative is the AFL’s Live Pass service. By using this, you can stream every match of the AFL finals live via the AFL app on Android, iOS or Windows mobile devices.

To access the service, you must pay. A monthly pass is priced at $14.99 per month while a weekly pass is at $4.99 per month. A two-week free trial is available for new customers though.

If you are hoping to stream the finals from outside Australia, you won’t be able to use the services above. However, this doesn’t mean you aren’t without another option.

Rather there is a separate service for international viewers called Watch AFL.

Weekly passes cost $19 while a monthly pass is $33.

Regardless, here at The Roar, we will have you covered with live scores and a blog of the match as we get closer to crowning the 2018 premiers.
