There’s some good racing is on the cards this Wednesday, where I’m really keen on one at Warwick Farm. Here are my five plays for the afternoon.

Bet One – Win – Warwick Farm Race Two Number 6 Nakeeta Jane
I’m very surprised about the price on offer because I think she deserves to be nearly favourite. She debuted at Randwick a couple of Wednesdays back and worked home really strongly from the back against the bias when second to Brilliance Choice.

If Parr can take advantage of gate one, clearly the horse to beat for mine.

Bet: $40 Win at $5.5 (BetEasy)

Bet Two – Each Way – Warwick Farm Race Eight Number 6 Golden Hits
You can make a really good case for this horse at the odds. He ran over 1400m here two back and was completely luckless in the straight behind Conarchie before going to Rosehill where he was specked at odds but didn’t handle the wet track, the race won by Conarchie.

Much better suited on top of the ground, he should get three wide cover and have a look at them late. Happy to have something on each way.

Bet: $10 Win/$30 Place at $23/$6.5 (Sportsbet)

Bet Three – Win – Cranbourne Race Four Number 9 Fifth Amendment
Interesting to see how this bloke goes up in grade. He debuted in what looked a solid enough maiden at Bairnsdale over 1000m where he showed good early toe to lead and on the turn, Jacob Rule was swinging against the horse and once clicked up, he dashed and won most impressively. Hopefully, he jumps and runs.

Bet: $20 Win at $5.5 (BetEasy)

Bet Four – Win – Sunshine Coast Race Six Number 1 Navy
I’m confident he goes close at his best. He bolted in fresh at the Sunny Coast before racing there again at Saturday metro level where he was off the map but didn’t want to run straight at all in a most disappointing effort behind From Within, who has won again since.

Back to this level, if he runs up to the fresh win, he should go close.

Bet: $50 Win (Tote)

Bet Five – Win – Murray Bridge Race Four Number 4 Bronski
Whenever Sue Jaensch brings them to the midweeks or Saturday metro races, she rarely leaves empty-handed. She trains this lightly raced five year old, who took an absolute eternity to wind up when resuming at Naracoorte but under hard riding from Sairyn Fawke, he proved too good for his rivals.

Form from the two maidens last prep reads well and he has a stack more upside.

Bet: $50 (Tote)
