Four meetings set down on Thursday, with the feature meeting being Lismore Cup Day. Here are my five plays for the afternoon.

Bet One- Win- Lismore Race One Number 12 Keirabella
Good size field, but I reckon Matty Dunn has found a lovely race for his filly to resume a winner. She’s always showed good promise since day one but just hasn’t quite put it together on race day.

The overall form around her reads far superior to anything engaged here and I like what I’ve seen from her in a couple of trials.

Bet: $30 Win at $3.5 (BetEasy)

Bet Two- Each Way- Lismore Race Three Number 8 Shelter Lady
Gee I think she’s a great each way bet at the odds. Paul Duncan trains this mare, who has had one run back from a break. That came over 1200m at Ipswich where she just got too far back off the pace but had to like the way she finished off behind an in form mare in Smartyspy.

Can produce a run second up and should get a lovely drag up via Balius.

Bet: $15 Win/$35 Place at $6.5/$2.25 (BetEasy)

Bet Three- Win- Sale Race Eight Number 7 Guipure
Just has to tick the wet track box and she’ll be too good. James Cummings has this mare, who resumed over 1300m at Ballarat and she was a real eye catcher, warming to the task late behind Lady Cromac to be beaten under a length.

Her overall form reads very well and should take improvement off the resumption, plus Lane jumps on now.

Bet: $30 Win at $3.8 (Sportsbet)

Bet Four- Win- Hawkesbury Race One Number 1 His Kingdom
Fascinating runner. Matty Smith trains this bloke, who returns to racing as a gelding. Thought his debut at Muswellbrook was pretty good when closing off from off the pace.

Gelded and has looked pretty sharp in a couple of trials. Big tick for me is Tye Angland steering because he rides the track better than any other rider.

Bet: $25 Win (Tote)

Bet Five- Win- Hawkesbury Race Five Number 9 Fast Train
Just has to handle the break between runs and he’ll go close to winning. Looks a really nice colt for Gerald Ryan who is building up to a win.

Just looked a touch lost last time at Muswellbrook but once he knuckled down, he finished off quite strongly to run third. Blinkers for the first time and has more upside than most here.
