After falling just short in the 2016 Grand Final, the Melbourne Storm will be looking for revenge when they take on the Cronulla Sharks in the first preliminary final of the 2018 NRL season. This is The Roar’s guide to watching the game online and on TV.

The game is scheduled to begin at 7:40pm (AEST) on Friday, September 21 at AAMI Park, Melbourne.

The Storm will be well-rested after earning the week off following a 29-28 win over the Rabbitohs. They should welcome back prop Nelson Asofa-Solomona for Friday night’s match while Will Chambers will also return from suspension.

It means that Melbourne will be virtually full strength as they look to claim their first win of the year against the Sharks.

Cronulla won both games against the Storm this year, with their most recent victory being by three points in Melbourne.

The Sharks will be battered though, with Luke Lewis and Paul Gallen going off early in last week’s tense 21-20 win over Penrith.

Lewis is expected to play on while skipper Gallen should also suit up despite suffering a potentially serious shoulder injury.
