Ruthless Aussies thrash Bangladesh by eight wickets, secure ODI series clean sweep
A ruthless Australian women's cricket team has shown little mercy to Bangladesh, thumping the hosts by eight wickets to clean sweep their ODI series.…
The summer of cricket starts this weekend with Australia taking on New Zealand in the women’s T20 series opener at North Sydney Oval.
This series sees Australia playing host to the Silver Ferns for three tests in the next week.
It will be Australia’s first outing since their Indian tri-series victory in March.
There’s good news for Australia, with captain Meg Lanning taking the field after recovering from a shoulder injury in recent months.
New Zealand have been busier than Australia in the last six months. They lost the tri-series final to England in June. That same tournament saw them go 1-261 against South Africa. They will be hoping to bring that level of play in this series as well.
With the World Cup just around the corner, both teams will be looking to start strong and get some good practice in before that starts in November.
The last time the two teams met was back at the start of 2017 with the Silver Ferns winning the series with a 47-run victory in the final.
Coverage of the game will begin at 7:10pm AEST with plenty of options available
As part of their acquisition in April this year, Channel Seven will be the new home of free-to-air cricket in Australia. All the games in this series will be televised live and free.
You can also see every ball on Fox Cricket or online through the Cricket Australia website.
If you can’t watch it, live radio broadcasts will be available on Macquarie Radio or through the Cricket Australia app or website.
