It’s been a long wait but finally Conor McGregor is making his return to the UFC, almost an entire two years since his last appearance in the octagon.

McGregor will make his first appearance since he defeated Eddie Alvarez in 2016 when he takes on Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229, hoping to win back the lightweight championship.

First off, it’s important to remember that many Australian states switched over to daylight savings time overnight, so make sure you’re on the right time.
UFC 229 starts at 1pm AEDT, but there’ll be a number of other fights before the main event of McGregor vs Khabib – there’s no exact schedule, but it’ll probably be on sometime around 2:30pm AEDT.
That state time varies a bit depending on where in the country you are, and whether or not your state does daylight savings time. State by state, here’s the UFC 229 start time for you:
New South Wales, Victoria, ACT, Tasmania – 1pm AEDT.
South Australia – 12:30pm ACDT.
Queensland – 12pm AEST.
Northern Territory – 11:30am ACST.
Western Australia – 10am AWST.
To watch the fight on TV, first you’ll need to either have Foxtel, or Foxtel via Optus TV. Then, you’ll need to buy the fight as a pay-per-view at Main Event, at the price of $54.95.
Viewers who own a PlayStation 4 are also able to purchase the pay-per-view as a live event directly through their console, and in doing so can watch the fight on their TVs.
The Main Event pay per view will let you watch the fight on TV, but Main Event don’t have the streaming rights to the fight.
So, if you want to live stream the fight, you will instead have to buy the pay per view directly from the UFC website.
Doing this will allow you to stream the fight to a wide range of different devices, but it is a bit more expensive, priced at $71.49.
