Three meetings have been set down for Monday, with good depth across the board at each of the programs. Here are my five plays for the afternoon.

Bet One: Win, Tamworth Race Three, Number 2, Autumn Ridge
He’s been a bit of a money muncher throughout his career, but gee I think he’s well placed to break the maiden status. Ran over 1300m at Armidale last time on a day where if you weren’t leading, you pretty much had no hope. Thought he did a good job in defeat behind Nistelrooy. Up to 1400m from gate one, on firmer footing, he gets his chance.

Bet: $30 win at $3.8 (BetEasy)

Bet Two: Win, Leeton Race One, Number 7, Youwantsome
If she puts everything together, she’ll be too good for them. Comes out of a strong maiden on debut at Corowa. Did plenty wrong in the straight but I loved the way she knuckled down when she put her mind to it, running fourth to a speedy Hayes/Dabernig runner in Buthayna. Heywood on, gate one, should take good natural improvement and the depth here isn’t strong.

Bet: $30 win at $4.4 (Bet365)

Bet Three: Each Way, Leeton Race Seven, Number 10, Bravado Lass
Gary Colvin has this mare absolutely flying this time in. Both runs this preparation have come over 1200m at Wagga where she has got back each time but finished off with real purpose. I have a query on her at the mile, but she gets good weight relief from last time. McDougall steers, with a good gate… she’s clearly over the odds.

At the time of writing this, 365 was the only bookie with odds up.

Bet: $25 E/W at $14/$3.75 (Bet365)

Bet Four: Win, Kilmore Race Two, Number 3, Da Deputy
These Highweight maidens are always fraught with danger, but generally you either lean towards the best stable or best rider. The best stable and best rider combine here with the Hayes/Dabernig stable teaming up with Clayton Douglas on this progressive gelding, who has placed in both career runs and to my eye has been very good each start. Blinkers on, up in trip and the depth here is thin. Should be too good.

Bet: $50 win at $2.25 (Sportsbet)

Bet Five: Win, Kilmore Race Seven, Number 9 Seewhatshebrings
Like her a lot here. Won the maiden impressively at this track and distance two back before going to Bendigo where she was desperately unlucky behind Bouffon, not getting much room at all when appearing to be bolting. Back to the scene of her dominant maiden win and Regan jumps on. Think she’ll go very close.

Bet: $30 win at $3.6 (Sportsbet)

Total Spend: $190
