A solid enough card of racing has been assembled this Tuesday, with my main focus being Donald and a couple of progressive types.

Here are my five plays for the afternoon.

Bet One- Each Way- Goulburn Race Three Number 5 Te Ata
I think the market will be the guide as to how forward she is. I’m hoping she’s around the mark because at her best, gee I think she’ll take some beating.

Autumn prep was pretty solid overall, and the key was that in two wet track runs, she got through it well and produced good late splits. I’ll take a chance that she’s ready.

Bet: $20 Win at $6.5 (Sportsbet), $30 Place (Tote)

Bet Two- Win- Kilcoy Race Three Number 3 Redex
Jump, run and win. That’s what I hope this Toowoomba galloper does. Was a tad tardy away first up over 900m at the Gold Coast but showed great toe to find the front and from there, he was never really in any danger.

Good second up record and should get the cart over via Ahwahneechee. Hopefully he can stretch his speed out to 1060m.

Bet: $30 Win (Tote)

Bet Three- Win- Donald Race Two Number 9 Twinspier
Several Weir first starters, so not sure how good they are, but this Busuttin/Young son of Savabeel looks a nice type.

Trialled a couple of weeks back at Cranbourne and looked to move quite nicely I thought when running a close up fifth. There’s already been early market support, which for the most part is a good lead with this yard.

Bet: $30 Win at $4 (Sportsbet)

Bet Four- Win- Donald Race Three Number 10 Busta Move
Junipal looks the obvious but I think at the odds, Busta Move is worth a gamble. He comes through a Bendigo maiden first up where he was a bit keen in the run and that just took the sprint out of him behind Prince Of Caviar.

That form reads quite well for this, and with better racing manners, he can certainly win. Junipal is the saver.

Bet: $10 Win at $5.5 (BetEasy), $25 Win Junipal at $2.05 (BetEasy)

Bet Five- Each Way- Donald Race Seven Number 2 Bronski
Gee I think the market is underestimating him. Sue Jaensch continues to get underrated with her runners but she does a very good job and has an excellent strike rate.

This son of Gonski resumed at Narcaoorte and produced a brilliant finale to surge and win before going to Murray Bridge where he didn’t look happy at all on the track but stuck on well behind a nice type in Pearl Raider. Bigger track suits, and I like him drawn wide so he can get clear whenever he likes.

Bet: $20 Win/$30 Place at $12/$3.6 (BetEasy)

Total Spend: $195
