The 2018-19 NBL season will tip-off on Thursday, October 11 at 5:20pm (AEDT) as the New Zealand Breakers host the Brisbane Bullets in the opening game. This is The Roar‘s guide to streaming the season online and watching it on TV so you don’t miss a moment of the action.

Every game of this year’s season will be available to watch one way or another, but there are different methods for different games, so it’s important to be across all the information to avoid disappointment.

While the Breakers and Bullets play the season opener, it’ll be a double-header on opening night as the Adelaide 36ers also host the Perth Wildcats.

The league’s biggest-ever signing, Andrew Bogut, will also feature on the first weekend of action when he played his first game of the season at 2:50pm (AEDT) against the 36ers in Sydney for the Kings.

How to watch every game of the 2018-19 NBL season

The NBL season will be broadcast across two networks throughout the 2018-19 season.

The first of those is Fox Sports. They are the best option for watching your favourite team every week, thanks to having every game live. Their deal will see a majority of games exclusive to the network throughout the season.

To watch the games on Fox Sports, you will need to be holding a valid Foxtel TV subscription, complete with the sports package.

If you are looking for the free-to-air alternative, you’re in luck. Two games per week – those starting on Saturday and Sunday afternoons, normally at 2:50pm (AEDT) – will be broadcast by 9Go on Channel 92.

The NBL season will also be available in a number of different methods to stream online.

Again, the best of those will be through Foxtel’s dedicated streaming services. They have two applications, with different options for different circumstances.

If you already have a valid TV subscription with a correct username and password, then you will be able to use the Foxtel App for free. On the other hand, if you’re only looking to stream the channels of Foxtel, you’ll want to use Foxtel Now.

Channel Nine will also have a streaming service for the games they broadcast. For their free live streams, you’ll want to use 9Now.

The final option is to go through the NBL.TV streaming service, which will cost a monthly subscription fee to watch every game live.
