The 2018-19 A-League season kicks off at Coopers Stadium in Adelaide on Friday, October 19 at 7:50pm (AEDT) as Adelaide United host Sydney FC in the first match. This is The Roar‘s complete guide to everything you need to know this season.

While Adelaide and Sydney get the season underway, the headline act of the first round will be the Melbourne derby at the same time on Saturday night.

Round 1 will be completed by a triple-header on Sunday afternoon as the Wellington Phoenix host the Newcastle Jets, the Brisbane Roar face the Central Coast Mariners and the Perth Glory take on the Western Sydney Wanderers.

All ten teams will play during every A-League round, with the majority over weekends, although there are some mid-week games through the Christmas and New Year holiday period.
