Just the three meetings have been set down for Monday, but I’m feeling confident of finding a few winners. Here are my five plays for the afternoon.

Bet One- Win- Wagga Race One Number 10 Lady Of Kos
Question mark at the mile, but on form, clearly the one to beat. Con Karatkasanis trains this mare, who ran over 1500m at Hawkesbury time where she was on speed and seemingly had her chance behind The Pinnacle but did pull up with a laceration to the off hind lock.

The form around her from each run this prep reads well. Just has to tick the 1600m box to be winning.

Bet: $30 Win at $3.6 (TAB)

Bet Two- Win- Wagga Race Seven Number 10 Elm Court
Really keen on her chances in the last. Matty Dale trains this filly, who was good here on debut behind Tully Toff, who has since run well in a Highway.

Elm Court then went to the Snake Gully Carnival at Gundagai and bolted up in an 1180m maiden in sharp time. 1200m no issue for mine and there doesn’t appear to be much pressure in front.

Bet: $40 Win at $3.3 (TAB)

Bet Three- Each Way – Ballina Race Two Number 5 Atyaaf
Son of Lonhro on debut for the Maryann Brosnan stable and gee I think he’s clear overs in what looks a very thin maiden. He trialled on October 30 at the Gold Coast over 900m and ran second to Chief Havoc, and while pushed out, he responded and did run past Fille Gris, who won first up, as did Chief Havoc, so the form reads well and as I said, this maiden is thin.

Bet: $15 E/W at $8.5/$2.9 (Sportsbet)

Bet Four- Win- Ballina Race Three Number 10 Golden Lily
Another one for Maryann Brosnan and I think the step up in trip looks ideal. Ran over the mile here last time and just got too far back in the run in an on pace dominated affair but worked home really well behind My Dream Lover.

It’s a race with a few chances, but she appears to like racing here and is looking for more ground, which she gets.

Bet: $30 Win at $4.2 (BetEasy)

Bet Five- Win- Ballina Race Six Number 6 Little Nikkas
Well and truly all over the $4.2 on offer for this Michael Costa trained daughter of Where’s That Tiger.

Three weeks between runs last time in a slowly run race, would have had to run tick over 33 L600 to win. Should land in a beaut spot from the barrier and given her upside, she’s better than what she’s facing IMO.

Bet: $250 Win at $4.2 (BetEasy)
