Not the greatest depth going around this Thursday, but I think there’s a good thing at Narromine. Here are my five plays for the afternoon.
Bet One- Win- Narromine Race Six Number 4 The Frick
Just missed out on the win with him last time but I think we can make amends here. The wet track is the unknown, but he’s working up to a win and this looks his race.
Ran at Dubbo last time over the mile and loomed large, but couldn’t quite get past Unresolved, who is a hard fit/in form local. Gate one, senior jock on, he’ll do me as the best of the day.

Bet Two- Win- Wyong Race Four Number 6 Ballad
James Cummings trains this daughter of Street Boss, who is having her first start. She’s trialled twice in readiness for her first day at the races and has looked quite encouraging each time she has stepped out.
I don’t think she has to be a world beater to be beating these and Avdulla is booked to steer her.

Bet Three- Win – Wyong Race Six Number 5 Saving
Made him the best of the day at Wyong. I like him a lot. He was unwanted in betting when debuting over 1400m at Newcastle but he defied the market drift and produced a lovely finale from off the pace to win. Should have no trouble with the extra 200m and on breeding, the wet track should be okay for him.

Bet Four- Win- Mackay Race Three Number 1 Friendly Dragon
I’m not sure why he’s being somewhat disrespected in the market. I have him a clear fav. He’s a proven weight carrier and at this level, he is pretty much bomb proof, and that is how it panned out last start at Townsville with a commanding win.
Likes racing at Mackay and for mine I think he’s the clear overs.

Bet Five- Win- Mackay Race Four Number 1 Cyclone Topgirl
Looks the best horse in the race by a mile but do I want to take odds on? No. I think take the tote and hopefully you’ll get $2+ come jump time.
Bit of speed drawn inside her, but she’s a very good filly in this part of the world, she flies fresh, unbeaten at Mackay and her recent trial was very good to the eye.
