Just two meetings in NSW on Monday, but I’m quite keen on a few at Taree. Here are my five plays for the afternoon.

Bet One- Win- Taree Race One Number 3 Destiny’s Choice
I think we’re getting $1.70 about a $1.30-$1.40 chance. He’s bursting to win a maiden and I think he gets a great chance here.

Has run over 900m at his past couple, the latest coming at Muswellbrook when just missing out on the win when second to Slimline. He’ll park off a good speed and have every chance to run Bullseye Score down. Looks the winner for mine.

Bet: $60 Win at $1.7 (BetEasy)

Bet Two- Each Way- Taree Race Two Number 4 On Time
I think at the odds available, she’s the gamble of the afternoon. Rod Northam trains this filly, who is having her first start off the back of a trial recently at Scone where she was on speed all the way and wasn’t knocked about when running second in decent time.

Don’t see much pace engaged here, so I think RT can get her over and with a hard Taree track, on speed is usually the place to be.

Bet: $50 Win at $6 (TAB)/$50 Place (Tote)

Bet Three- Win – Taree Race Three Number 12 Wild Sheila
I’m keen on her with the senior jock on. Nothing against Louise Day, but this filly looks a tricky one to ride so I like Gibbons jumping on.

Ran over 1500m at Port Macquarie where she did plenty wrong but was solid late when putting her mind to the task. Think the mile will be perfect, scared of the stablemate, but think she’ll go close with luck in running.

Bet: $30 Win at $3.9 (Sportsbet)

Bet Four- Each Way- Taree Race Seven Number 3 Valbeata
Happy to have something on her each way in the last. Talented mare for Bob Milligan that resumes off a 28-week spell, so she’s had plenty of time in the paddock but is a bomb when produced fresh, winning her last two first up runs, the latest at this track/distance. She’ll park off a hot speed and if the breaks go her way, she’s got he finale to beat these.

Bet: $15 Win at $9 (TAB)/$25 Place (Tote)

Bet Five- Sapphire Coast Multi- Nobody’s Puppet R2 Win/Inch Perfect R3 Place/Trumbo R6 Place/Kitty Karine R7 Place
Nobody’s Puppet looks a real 800-900m horse, so the 900m at the Sapphire Coast looks ideal and he should be winning.

Inch Perfect did nothing last time but saves her best for the Sapphire Coast so she can bounce back. Trumbo is always around the mark and should go close again while Kitty Karine got too far back at Queanbeyan but made up decent ground at the end.

Bet: $30 Win at $32.76 (BetEasy)
