The stack of racing has been assembled for Friday and I am keen on one at good odds at Mudgee. Here are my five plays for the afternoon.

Bet one: Each way – Mudgee Race Five – number 14, Future Road
I can’t believe this is the odds on offer for this mare.

Accepted for Gunnedah on Saturday as well but with a rider not declared at the time of writing, I’ll assume she runs here and I think she’s a massive chance.

Two runs back this time in have been quite good, both of which have been at unsuitable trips. Up to 1400m, this looks to be good speed and I love the booking of Robbie Dolan. I think she can only run well.

Bet: $30 E/W at $16/$4.8 (Sportsbet)

Bet two: Win – Ballina Race One – number two, Karaja
There are no odds at the time of this writing but it doesn’t matter because I think barring bad luck she’ll be winning.

Matty Dunn trains this filly, who trialled up really well a couple of weeks back at Doomben behind Vincere Volare who won at Doomben. The depth here looks very thin and should be winning but doubt you’ll get much of a price.

Bet: $50 Win (Tote)

Bet three: Win – Ballina Race Three – number one, Follow Our Dream
Again, no odds out but similar to stablemate Karaja. He should be winning.

He attempted to lead all the way over 1500m at Murwillumbah last time out and tried hard but was pipped late by Deep Blue Sea, who looks a progressive horse.

Third horse Consular won at Ipswich on Wednesday so the form reads well and the speed map says he’ll lead for fun.

Bet: $50 Win (Tote)

Bet four: Win – Moonee Valley Race Three, number 11 Goldifox
She’s heading towards the Magic Millions so with that being the case, she should be winning this maiden and would need to given there isn’t much time between now and the Gold Coast.

She showed really good promise as a two-year-old without winning but contested strong races in town. Recent jump out she was pushed out but responded. 1200m is short of her best, but class should get her home.

Bet: $100 Win at $2.25 (BetEasy)

Bet five: Win – Doomben Race Four, number one Jetsonic
I think the price gap between this and Voulait is far too great.

Jetsonic isn’t the most reliable horse going around but at his best he’s just about got these covered. He likes racing at Doomben and is a bomb when produced fresh.

Hopefully, the speed is on so he can get his chance to ambush from the back. I think he’s the clear overs in seemingly a two-horse race, but I’m confident he can win.

Bet: $30 Win at $3.9 (Sportsbet)

Total Spend: $290
