A stack of racing has been assembled this Friday, with hopefully a few winners to be found. Here are my five plays for the afternoon.

Bet One- Win- Canterbury Race Seven Number 5 Zip A Dee Doo Dah
If they can run on from the back, I think this bloke will be winning. Former Singapore galloper who has been outstanding in each run for Kris Lees, the latest being at Rosehill when not really clear but once shoved into clear air, he ran home strongly when third to Organza.

Kris Lees hasn’t had much luck recently at Canterbury at these Friday night meetings but I think he can atone with this bloke.

Bet: $30 Win at $3.5 (Sportsbet)

Bet Two- Each Way- Warren Race Three Number 8 Future Road
Two runs back this time in have been quite good, both of which have been at unsuitable trips. Up to 1200m, looks to be good speed and I think she can only run well.

Was really keen on her last week at Mudgee but was scratched, then was all over her at Gunnedah the next day but was scratched. No jockey booked yet so perhaps will be taken out again, but think she’s a really good play, but at the moment is too short.

Bet: $20 E/W (Tote)

Bet Three- Each Way- Scone Race One Number 9 Paris
Paris is a daughter of Snitzel on debut for Clarry Conners. Remember this filly trialling really well behind Anaheed back in October, with that filly now being regarded as a leading Slipper horse.

Paris has had two trials since, the latest coming at Rosehill where she led all the way and won comfortably. Time was slow for the morning but she looked to do it comfortably and we know Clarry has a great record with his babies.

Bet: $20 E/W at $6.5/$2.25 (BetEasy)

Bet Four- Win- Scone Race Five Number 2 Elcano
At the time of writing this, I made him the best of the day, but with the forecast for potential rain and a wet track, I may change.

He’s been pretty good in two runs back from a break, both here, the latest at the trip when getting checked on the turn and losing momentum before picking up and finishing off well late. The wet track would be a concern, but there is just no depth.

Bet: $100 Win at $3 (Sportsbet)

Bet Five- Win Parlay 2,3- Sunshine Coast Race Two No 12/Race Three No 2/Race Four No 15
The Parlay worked super on Wednesday, so hopefully it goes well on Friday night here. Kiriana was excellent on debut and looks ideally placed up to the mile in a thin race. Bronzegate is a stablemate in the third and he’s flying.

Lloyd sticks and this looks an easier assignment. Extremely well suited on his home track. Our Toninicconi is first up for Tony McEvoy and if she can overcome the sticky gate, she’ll be winning.
