Boxing Day is one of the biggest sporting days on the Australian calendar. It’s a chance to eat all the leftover Christmas ham and let the proverbial dusty head clear while sitting on the couch and watching TV.
From the Boxing Day Test, to the annual scramble for the remote at lunchtime to flick on Sydney to Hobart, it’ll all be happening domestically with a long day on the cards.
Of course, if you’re more into the overseas sports, there will be plenty happening with the English Premier League and the NBA taking centre stage.

The NBA will welcome in Boxing Day with a 4am tip-off between the New York Knicks and Boston Celtics. Ben Simmons and the Philadelphia 76ers will be in action later on during the day, while the Boxing Day Test starts at 10:30am (AEDT).
Then, there is Sydney to Hobart, followed by the Big Bash League, NBL and A-League in prime time, with a late night WBBL game and EPL set to wrap things up on what has been described as the ‘sporting Christmas.’
