There aren’t too many better ways to bring in the New Year than a BBL double-header. This is The Roar’s guide to live streaming both matches online and watching them on TV.
The first match of the day will get underway at 3pm (AEDT) as the Brisbane Heat take on the Sydney Sixers at Metricon Stadium on the Gold Coast. The second match, between the Melbourne Stars and Melbourne Renegades, will commence at 7:15pm (AEDT) at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
The second of those matches is, of course, the Melbourne derby, which is one of the biggest clashes in the BBL each season.
The first match between the Heat and Sixers will only be available on Fox Sports, through Fox Cricket. The Melbourne Derby will be available on both Fox Cricket and Channel 7.
To watch the coverage on Fox Sports, you will need to have a valid Foxtel TV subscription.
Even though the second match will also be available on free-to-air TV, the only way to live stream the Big Bash League this summer will be through Fox Cricket.
The best way to stream their coverage is to use Kayo Sports, which is worth $25 per month and allows you to stream every Foxtel sports channel.
The other alternatives are to use the Foxtel App or Foxtel Now, depending on your circumstances.
