The 2019 Australian Open will see the best tennis players in the world descend on Melbourne Park for the first grand slam of the new year. This is The Roar‘s guide to streaming every point of the tournament online and watching all the matches on TV.

As Roger Federer guns for his third straight victory at the Australian Open and Australi’s best try to break a duck which has been running for a decade, the pressure will be on across an intense fortnight of tennis.

The tournament is scheduled to begin at 11am (AEDT) on Monday, January 14 and conclude with the men’s singles final a fortnight later on Sunday, January 27, with that match set to begin at 7:30pm (AEDT) and finish later that evening.

How to watch the 2019 Australian Open on TV

Under a new TV deal with Tennis Australia, the Australian Open, like all the other events this summer and the upcoming Davis and Fed Cup ties, will be available on the Nine Network.

They are the exclusive broadcasters of the Australian Open for Australian audiences.

For the first six days of the competition, they will be using two channels to broadcast the tennis on TV, with one channel to be used after that.

The only time the tennis will not appear on Channel 9’s main high definition station is between 6pm and 7pm (AEDT) when they break for the news. During that time, both 9Go and 9Gem will be used.

How to live stream the 2019 Australian Open online

If you are looking to stream the tournament online, you’ll be able to do so through the 9Now application or website. This is free to use and downloadable on both the Google Play and App store.

On top of the two channels being broadcast, the application will also allow you to select any court being played on across the grounds at Melbourne Park, meaning you can watch each and every match of the tournament.

This follows on from the level of coverage the Australian Open has received in previous years when it was on the Seven Network.

Here at The Roar, for the first time ever, we will have live scores running for every single match from the singles tournaments, as well as our trademark blogging of the big matches and highlights throughout the tournament.
