With Australia Day falling on a Saturday, it gets us an extra public holiday on Monday and sets up a four-day sporting extravaganza. Here is The Roar’s guide to everything in sport from Friday, January 25 to Monday, January 28 so you won’t miss a moment.

From the finals of the Australian Open, to the return of the Australia day Test match, there is something to grab everyone’s attention across what is going to be a big four days in sport.

The Asian Cup quarter-finals will also be fought out, while there will be the usual sporting fare over summer of A-League, W-League, NBL and NBA on the screen as well.

Outside of the usual, the Sydney Sixers and Brisbane Heat will compete to be crowned Season 4 champions of the Women’s Big Bash League, while some of the best cyclists in the world will take to the roads around Geelong for the 2019 Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race on Sunday.

We here at The Roar would fully suggest changing the batteries in your remote, grabbing the esky and getting ready to not move from the couch for four days.
