It was a round featuring heavy losses, narrow defeats and nail-biting finishes.

One team remains undefeated and one team is still yet to win.

Adelaide Crows
The Crows end Round 4 with a record of three wins and a loss, sitting second on the ladder in Conference A, holding a healthy percentage of 168.0.

Their match-winners – Erin Phillips, Chelsea Randall, Anne Hatchard and Ebony Marinoff – starred over fellow premiership fancies the Dockers.

In Round 5, Adelaide will play against the North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos in a top-of-table clash, with the former confident they can hand the Kangaroos their first defeat.

Brisbane Lions
The Lions’ win in Round 4 was their best-ever victory – a 33-point shellacking of the Western Bulldogs at Whitten Oval.

Brisbane’s season unbelievably is back on track after the massive win and they played similar to their previous two seasons.

If they can secure a few wins from the last three rounds – going in as heavy favourites against Geelong, Carlton and Collingwood – they could make the finals.

Carlton Blues
Carlton’s inaccuracy in front of goal let them down, as they kicked one major and eight behinds. They played better than Geelong, with lots of inside 50s and chances at goal, but it just was not the Blues’ day.

In their last three matches, Carlton have Collingwood, Brisbane Lions and the Bulldogs, which means they should only get one win unless they improve their wayward kicking.

Collingwood Magpies
Collingwood remain winless, and do not look like changing that anytime soon.

They played better as a team against the Giants, with greater ball movement and fluidity, but the Greater Western Sydney were cleaner at crucial stages and ran over the top of the Pies.

Fremantle Dockers
The Dockers could not match it with the Crows for four quarters of football, as Adelaide went into cruise control in the second half and still kept Fremantle goalless.

Though this was their worst performance, it will help to make the Dockers more determined to play better in the last three rounds, against Geelong, Western Bulldogs and the Kangaroos.

Geelong Cats
The Cats have two wins from their first four rounds, both coming at their home ground, GMHBA Stadium.

Rochelle Cranston and Mel Hickey were influential in the win over the Bulldogs, and if the team carry that form against Brisbane, Fremantle and GWS, they could cause a couple of upset wins on the road.

GWS Giants
The Giants’ first win of the season came in Round 4, against fellow strugglers the Pies by nine points.

Heading into this season GWS looked a team set to play finals footy, but now they don’t look like winning another match, as they will face Melbourne, Adelaide and Geelong.

Melbourne Demons
Melbourne really took it to the Kangaroos at Casey Fields, almost pulling off an upset win.

If the Dees manage to get two wins from their last three matches, they could be in finals contention – they have the talent.

North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos
Despite the Kangaroos being tested on the weekend, they still scored six goals with limited forward-50 entries and scoring opportunities. Now they must shift their focus to Round 5 opponents, Adelaide.

Still, with three rounds left, the Kangaroos are flag favourites.

Western Bulldogs
The Dogs could not score, get any momentum or flow into their game against the Lions, who outclassed them and truly disrupted their style.

In the remaining three rounds, the Dogs have three difficult matches against the Fremantle Dockers, Melbourne and Carlton.

Will the reigning premiers feature come finals time? At the moment, their premiership defence is in limbo.
