The FFA, A-League clubs and the PFA have reached an agreement to restart the A-League season in July, pending the approval of broadcaster Fox Sports.
The Uruguayan football professional and the current Barcelona player Luis Suarez has evolved a lot in his career.
The number nine had joined the Catalan club amid his ban for biting the Italian player in the FIFA World cup 2014. Since then the ex-Liverpool man has been away from controversies and has concentrated on his performances on the field.
Suarez received tremendous support from Barcelona’s director, manager, players and Catalan fans when the entire world was criticizing him for all the nefarious reasons in 2014. The star player from Camp Nou had a dream season during his first year at Barca.
Suarez played around most world-class players in the world in all the departments. Gerard Pique, Jordi Alba, Dani Alves and Javier Mascherano were the saviors at the back. Xavi, Andres Iniesta and Sergio Busquets controlled the entire game with their creativity.
Moreover, the best forward on the planet, Lionel Messi, and the youthful talent Neymar made it quite easy for the Urugyuan to adapt to Barcelona’s culture.
Since then, Barcelona has experienced many changes in their team, with the departure of Neymar being the most devastating for the club. But the man from Camp Nou has been quite a professional in all the circumstances. The favourite goal scorer of the El Clasicos has been performing in disguise under the shadows of Lionel Messi and not many could recognize his contribution to the club.
The star forward has performed consistently in spite of the change in players around him. The volleys, free kicks, strength on the ball, his runs and the position he takes in the box has continuously been innovated. If we compare the current team of Barcelona with that of 2014, more than half of the team has been replaced with new players. During this period, Suarez has gradually become the player from playing around the legends to being one himself.
In spite of some criticism and talks of his replacement in the Spanish city, the Catalan forward has constantly silenced his critics with his goal tally each season. He proved it once again after his double against Los Vikings in the Copa semis.
The player has his skills and tricks well-rehearsed. What makes it more interesting is the way he is capable of applying the same tricks with modern players with just a slight improvisation. The Urugyuan player is certainly a legend who can be compared to the old wine in a new bottle in this modern football era of young players.
