Son of legendary boxer Kostya Tszyu, Tim, is certainly making his own waves in the Australian boxing world.
The current interim WBA Oceania super-welterweight champion is looking to conquer the Australian ranks then pursue a fight with former WBO welterweight champ Jeff Horn.
Tszyu is fighting in Sydney on May 15 against Joel Camilleri for the Australian light-middleweight title.
If Tszyu is successful, he will join the ranks of Aussie greats Ryan and Guy Waters, Kevin Kelly and Nader Hamdan.
This will be Camilleri’s first defence of his newly won title that he earned back in February.
Camilleri‘s record is 17-5-1, and he could have the experience on his side to cause a upset.
Former NRL star Justin Hodges, who had his debut on the Paul Gallen vs John Hopoate card earlier this year, will feature on the undercard.
Tszyu is currently undefeated with a record of 12-0 and is looking to conquer Camilleri then have a fight with fellow Aussie Michael Zerafa – who just went the distance with British former IBF welterweight champ Kell Brook – before challenging Horn.

In response to the challenge from Tszyu, Horn spoke to The Daily Telegraph.
“It’s all good to call me out, but I don’t think they are as keen as they say,” Horn said.
“Tim will get better in time but I feel as soon as he faces someone half decent as a boxer he will have trouble.
“He is so straight down the line that he doesn’t have much when it comes to angles.
“Hopefully he does well in his career because he’s a nice kid but if he wants to fight me, let’s go.”
Tszyu is used to calling out former world champions.
Last year he took to the internet to call out veteran Anthony Mundine in the hope of using their names to promote an inter-generational fight between the pair, but Mundine fought Horn instead and was crushed in 96 seconds.
Tszyu has said that he wants to come out of the shadows of his father’s reputation and this is the path he is taking.
