State of Origin is fast approaching and with it the last chances for players to prove themselves worthy of featuring in the series.

Last week on the Game of Codes podcast, Roar rugby league Expert AJ Mithen joined us to discuss what selection decisions New South Wales need to make to give the Blues the best chance of going back to back.

This week, we turned the agenda north of the border and asked fellow Roar Expert Joe Frost to break down who must be in Queensland’s State of Origin team.

Listen to the discussion:

Maroons fans will be hoping Manly captain Daly Cherry-Evans will be fit to play after being sidelined for four to six weeks with a syndesmosis strain to his right ankle.

Cherry-Evans is almost a certainty to play Origin should he recover in time, which may see him enter the series for his first game back from injury.

Game 1 of the 2019 State of Origin series will be played at Suncorp Stadium on June 5, giving Queensland the opportunity to open the series with a win at home and head to Perth for Game 2 on June 23 for the chance to seal it.
