The 2019 A-League Finals are finally upon us and the first week is shaping up to be an absolute cracker.

This week on the Game of Codes podcast, we asked Roar football Expert Mike Tuckerman to share his thoughts on how the weekend will play out and who he sees meeting the league’s top two teams in the semi-finals.

Listen to the discussion:

With Perth Glory and Sydney FC earning the right to rest their legs before next week’s semi-finals, the remaining four teams in the top six will battle it out this weekend to keep their championship hopes alive.

Melbourne Victory will host Wellington Phoenix at 7:50pm on Friday night at AAMI Park to open proceedings, with the losing team immediately knocked out of the finals.

Adelaide United will host Melbourne City at 7:00pm on Sunday for the second of the two elimination finals to be held this weekend.

The lowest-ranked winner will travel to Perth to play the premiers next Friday for a spot in the grand final, while the other will face Sydney in a do-or-die match on the Sunday.
