St George Illawarra’s Korbin Sims has seen his fair share of rugby league. Debuting in 2013, the powerful 27-year-old has played more than 100 games in the NRL with stints at the Knights, the Broncos and now the Dragons.

Not much can keep Sims off the field, but a broken forearm suffered during the Dragons’ Round 4 victory over the Knights has kept him out of action early in his first season under Paul McGregor. He played through the entire first half of the match in visible discomfort and would have kept playing had club doctors not overruled him.

With at least another fortnight until his return, Sims joined us on today’s episode of the Game of Codes podcast to talk who impressed on the weekend, the rise of Latrell Mitchell, when he expects to come back for the Dragons and more.

Listen to Korbin Sims on Game of Codes:

The Dragons will face the Warriors at Suncorp Stadium on Saturday for Magic Round without several key players, with Corey Norman joining Sims, Gareth Widdop and Jack de Belin on the sidelines.

McGregor is optimistic Tyson Frizell will play after finding himself on the receiving end of an accidental eye gouge in the side’s Round 8 loss to the Eels.
