Two marshals have given themselves and Sergio Perez the fright of their lives at the Monaco Grand Prix.
Racing Point driver Perez was re-entering the race out of the pits and on a safety car lap he was shocked to find two track workers far too close to the action.

Thankfully however, Perez was able to avoid an incident.
“Man, what was wrong with those marshals?” a shocked Perez could be heard asking immediately afterwards on team radio.
“I nearly killed them!”
Perez, who finished 12th, would later convey his gratitude that nobody was hurt despite the close call in a tweet after the race.
After this incident, I’m just very happy with the outcome of my day. That we all can go back home safe and sound with our families. For the safety of the marshals I hope it never happens again! ???? #MonacoGP #Checo11 pic.twitter.com/PP8Me3Frlz
