The first of two all-English European finals in 2019 will see Chelsea take on Arsenal for the right to be crowned Europa League champions. This is The Roar’s guide to streaming the match online, and watching it on TV.
The match is scheduled to be played in Baku, Azerbaijan at the Baku Olympic Stadium, with kick-off set for 5am (AEST) on Thursday, May 30.
Chelsea stamped their qualification for the final with a penalty shootout victory over Eintracht, while Arsenal thumped Valencia 3-1 and 4-2 in their two legs to qualify for the one-off decider.
The official broadcaster of Europe’s biggest regional competitions in Australia is Optus Sport.
They hold the rights to every match throughout the Europa League, including the final.
Their broadcast of the match will begin at 4am (AEST), however, you will need to sign up with a package costing $15 per month. Some Optus customers are entitled to have Optus Sport included in their mobile package however, so we suggest you check all the details before signing up.
Here in Australia, there will be no TV channels broadcasting the match as such.
You can, however, use Fetch TV through Optus to watch the broadcast provided by Optus Sport. Otherwise, you will be able to use a Chromecast or other apps, like Apple TV, to stream the match off your mobile device onto a television if you’d prefer to watch the final on the big screen.
