Australia’s Cricket World Cup campaign hit its first snag the other night, with the bowlers unable to contain India’s big bats in a 36-run loss.

After some encouraging opening victories against Afghanistan and the West Indies to begin the tournament, the Aussies stumbled at their first major hurdle after being set a record chase of 353 for their innings.

Australia put in a reasonable performance with the bat in reply, but an ineffective display with the ball had their chase doomed from the start.

Was the loss just ‘one of those days’ against one of the world’s premier ODI nations? Or are there deeper issues at play here?

Roar cricket expert Brett McKay joined us on the Game of Codes podcast to put the game under the spotlight and see just what Australia need to change going forward.
