A dominant 38-13 win over the Sharks on Saturday night has Australia’s only remaining Super Rugby franchise, the Brumbies, only one win away from making it into the 2019 Super Rugby Final.
The Brumbies will travel to Argentina to face the Jaguares, who have made it through to the semis with a win over the Chiefs yesterday, 21-16.
The other semi-final will be yet another high-profile clash between New Zealand’s two dominant supersides, the Crusaders and the Hurricanes.
Should the ‘Saders take the win in that match – as they’ll be favourites to do – then they’ll have the rights to host another Super Rugby grand final in Christchurch.
If it’s the Hurricanes getting an upset, then they’ll have to travel to either Argentina or Australia, depending on whether the Jaguares or Brumbies win the first semi.
That match will be played at Estadio José Amalfitani in Buenos Aires in the early morning of Saturday 29 June – at 9:05 AEST.
Then, the all-New Zealand derby will take place at AMI Stadium in Christchurch at 5:35pm later that same day, AEST.
