Game of Codes, Episode 21: The full Origin 2 breakdown and Cricket World Cup

We normally run our podcast on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but State of Origin Game 2 meant we simply had to get a special episode together for today.

After an unfathomable 38-6 demolition by the Blues, we weren’t short of talking points and we took a full three segments to break it all down.

There’s nobody better than Roar editor and NRL expert and live blogger extraordinaire Scott Pryde to discuss it with – and we discussed a lot.

How did Brad Fittler turn his ragtag band of surprise inclusions into a slick, Origin-winning machine? Where did it all go pear-shaped for Queensland after the highs of Game 1?

What changes should both sides be considering for the decider?

If you thought about it, we probably answered in our Origin special.

After that, we sneak some cricket in with resident expert Geoff Lemon and preview Australia’s mouthwatering World Cup clash with England. Who do Australia need to target to win it?

Finally, we talk Matildas with football expert Mike Tuckerman – where did it go wrong against Norway and, crucially, were they robbed by the refs?
