The first of the Cricket World Cup semi-finals will see India take on New Zealand in Manchester. The famous Old Trafford will play host, with the first ball to be bowled at 7:30pm (AEST) on Tuesday, July 9.

India snatched top spot on the table on the final day of competition, beating Sri Lanka while Australia faltered against South Africa.

It means the Indian side can avoid tournament hosts England in their first knockout game, instead taking the perceived easier semi-final opponent in New Zealand, who limped their way into the finals.
