Origin Game 3 will be first series decider we’ve had for some time, with New South Wales entering the match as warm favourites to knock off Queensland and secure back-to-back series victories.

This is The Roar’s complete Origin 3 betting guide, with odds for the result, margins, the line, first try-scorer and man of the match.

The result

As it stands, after their big win in Game 2 to set up the deicer, the NSW Blues are raging favourites to take out the game, paying just $1.38, with punters putting plenty of money on the men in Sky Blue.

The Maroons, who are without Kalyn Ponga, are paying $3.10 and represent plenty of value if punters want to have a dabble on the outsiders.

The line

The line has been set at six and a half points ahead of the game, with it paying an even $1.90 each way. Some betting companies offer a feature of picking your own line, with the Blues paying just $1.77 to cover a 4.5 point line, and $2.78 to cover a 12.5 point line.

The Maroons, on the other hand, are paying $1.79 to give away the 6.5 point start to the Blues, while if you want to back the visitors wo win by more than four points, you’ll get $3.60 back on your investment.

The margin

Margin betting is as always for rugby league, set into two brackets: 1-12, and 13+.

The Blues are currently paying $2.70 to win by 1 to 12 points and $2.75 to win by 13 or more, with not much difference either way, and seemingly a lot of punters thinking the winning margin will end up about 12 points.

The Maroons, on the other hand, are paying $4.20 to win by 1 to 12 points, or, if you think they will really perform an ambush, then there is considerable value of $10 available for a victory of 13 or more.

First try-scorer

The first try-scorer market is always an interesting one. Josh Addo-Carr is favourite at $8, while hat-trick hero Tom Trbojevic is out at $10.

Corey Oates is the best of the Queenslanders at $10, while prolific Origin try-scorer is out at $11.
