We wouldn’t blame you if you’re still reeling from what as an outrageous weekend of sport just gone by, but there’s been plenty happening since then.

Sit down, pop the headphones in and get Game of Codes episode 28 running as we break down and discuss another interesting couple of days in the sporting world.

First up, we tackle the two biggest news items to come out of the AFL this week with Roar AFL expert and editor Stirling Coates. We start off with the vacant St Kilda coaching job, analysing where it went wrong for Alan Richardson and who the Saints should be targeting for 2020.

Then, we look at the recent news of a mid-season trade period potentially being brought in for next season. Is it a good call? Or is the AFL flirting with catastrophe?

It’s rugby union next with Roar rugby expert Geoff Parkes, as we preview Australia’s Rugby Championship-opening match against South Africa. Is this the best chance to knock off the Proteas on their own turf we’ve had in years?

Finally, it’s over to cricket where we preview the Women’s Ashes Test with Roar cricket expert Mary Konstantopoulos, before David Schout jumps on as we go back to the schoolyard to pick Australia’s XI.

Catch the episode in the player above and head to our Game of Codes hub to listen to Thursday’s edition. Be sure to subscribe and review on iHeartRadio, Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts or wherever else you’re listening.
