The Melbourne Storm are once again cantering towards another minor premiership, but can any side challenge the men in purple this year?

On the latest episode of the Game of Codes podcast, Roar rugby league Expert Tim Gore joins Editor Daniel Jeffrey to discuss which of the trailing teams pose the biggest threat to the Storm.

Listen to the discussion:

As expected, last year’s premiers the Roosters are firmly in the discussion, hardly a surprise given the Tricolours racked up a cricket score at the SCG this past weekend and the wealth of talent they have on their side.

Not many would have picked the Raiders to be in this discussion before the season started, but with 20 rounds in the books Ricky Stuart’s men are looming as genuine contenders – although there’s one notable caveat when talking about the Green Machine’s premiership chances which the guys cover off in their discussion.

And there are, of course, a couple of other sides in and around the top four who’d consider themselves a chance, not least Manly, who are one of the few sides to have actually beaten the Storm.

But who do you think is the best shot of giving the premiership favourites a scare? Have a listen to the discussion above and be sure to drop your thoughts in the comments below.
