Episode 34 of The Roar’s Game of Codes podcast is out today, with special attention being paid to The Ashes, the upcoming Bledisloe Cup Test and Sam Burgess’ controversial judiciary appearance.

Given we couldn’t talk Ashes on Tuesday’s episode, it was only right we launched straight into it today with a special double-segment.

With Roar cricket expert David Schout on the line, we discussed just where the first Test victory ranked among Australia’s best ever wins, before turning our attention forward and listing the changes both sides should be considering ahead of the second Test.

We switched over to the NRL afterwards Roar rugby league expert Tim Gore as we discussed the hugely controversial non-suspension of South Sydney captain Sam Burgess and what it means in the fight against head injury in sport.

Finally, it’s over to rugby as we preview Bledisloe Cup Game 1 with Roar expert Geoff Parkes. Do the Wallabies have what it takes to pinch a rare win over the All Blacks? Did New Zealand show any vulnerabilities in their Rugby Championship matches that Australia can exploit?

Catch the episode in the player above and head to our Game of Codes hub to listen to Thursday’s edition. Be sure to subscribe and review on iHeartRadio, Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts or wherever else you’re listening.
