It was a memorable second Test at Lord’s between England and Australia, with the draw making the third Test incredibly pivotal.

With two Tests of sample size to look at, who’s spot in the side should be safe and who should be on the outer?

We got Roar cricket expert David Schout on the Game of Codes podcast to do the selection job for Headingley.

Listen to the discussion:

Cameron Bancroft – who was controversially included in the opener’s spot at the expense of Joe Burns – has completely failed to deliver, scoring just 44 runs. His partner, David Warner, has performed even worse – scoring just 18.

Bancroft is probably the most likely the get dropped, but should Warner’s spot in the side be even shakier? Who is the ideal replacement?

Steve Smith is very likely to miss the pivotal third Tets with concussion – does Australia have the cattle to replace him?

What about the bowling attack? Does James Pattinson come back into the side after being rested for Lord’s? Who’s spot should he take?
