Manly fans had their worst fears confirmed yesterday, after Tom Trbojevic’s pectoral injury turned out to be a season-ending one.

The superstar fullback left the field before ten minutes had elapsed in his side’s clash with Melbourne on Saturday night and, unfortunately, will miss the rest of the season.

How crucial was the fitness of the Origin star’s to Manly’s premiership chances? Can you put a line through them already?

We were joined on the Game of Codes podcast by Roar rugby expert Tim Gore to make a call on whether Manly can do any damage in the finals without Tommy Turbo.

It’s not the only injury drama the Sea Eagles have been forced to deal with in 2019, with Daly Cherry-Evans missing a large chunk of the season earlier, while Joel Thompson will also miss the rest of the year with a broken arm.

With questions surrounding a perceived lack of depth at Manly, the absence of any of their big-name superstars – the Trbojevic brothers, Daly Cherry-Evans or Martin Taupau – could spell doom ahead of the finals.
