The AFL finals will get underway on Thursday, September 4 as the West Coast Eagles square off with the Essendon Bombers at Optus Stadium in Perth. The game’s first bounce is set for 8:10pm (AEST). If you’re in WA, that’s 6:10pm local time.

The game will finish at around 11pm for those tuning in from the east coast, meaning it’ll be all over at about 9pm for those in Perth.

The game will see the first team from the top eight eliminated from the competition. While those who finish in the top four get a second chance in the first week of the finals, those teams in the bottom four play elimination finals, with the loser knocked straight out of the competition.

The Eagles, who finished in fifth place, take home ground advantage for the match over the Bombers, who just snuck into the finals by finishing in eighth.
