The Australian Boomers will get the next stage of their Basketball World Cup campaign underway when they take on the Dominican Republic in the second round. The match is scheduled to be played on Saturday, September 7 at 6pm (AEST).

While the Boomers played their entire first round of matches in Dongguan, they will move to Nanjing for the second round.

The Boomers come out of the first round with a record of three wins and no losses, having beaten Lithuania in their last contest after recording first-up wins over Canada and Senegal, both in less than convincing circumstances.

In the second round of competition, the Boomers will take on the top two sides from Group G, with the two best records in the four-team group moving to the quarter finals.
