The AFL finals continue tonight, with minor premiers Geelong being forced to ‘host’ Collingwood at the MCG.

It’s sure to be a packed house at the home of football as two of the AFL’s powerhouses go head-to-head in a final for the first time since the 2011 grand final.

While we’re not here to talk about Geelong’s home final plight today, our experts both agreed on the Game of Codes podcast that Collingwood start tonight’s qualifying final as favourites.

We were joined on the Game of Codes podcast by Roar AFL expert Cam Rose to put the case forward for Collingwood favouritism and outline just where they have the advantage of their higher-ranked opponents.

Listen to the discussion:

Can Geelong’s superstar midfield trio of Joel Selwood, Patrick Dangerfield and Gary Ablett find yet another gear in September and get Danger his elusive first flag?

Can the return of Jaidyn Stephenson and Jordan de Goey revitalise Collingwood’s forward line and help them recapture their scintillating form from the first half of the season?

Visit our Game of Codes hub to catch the full episode and be sure to subscribe and review on iHeartRadio, Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts or wherever else you’re listening.
