WATCH: Video highlights

David Astbury – 6
Quiet day for the defence so Astbury didn’t have a lot to do, but did his job well. On Jeremy Finlayson, and at times Jeremy Cameron, can’t really fault it.

Liam Baker – 5
Kept the Giants match-winner a couple of weeks ago – Brent Daniels – very quiet. Played his role.

Shai Bolton – 5.5
Kicked a goal in the Tigers second half run and put some forward pressure on with four tackles, a fair game for the forward.

Nathan Broad – 5.5
Stood up in the backline and can’t really be faulted. Three intercept marks and five tackles for the defender, whose line worked together perfectly.

Josh Caddy – 8
Pressure game, in amongst it all day. He finished with 19 disposals and six tackles, a good day around the ground.

Jason Castagna – 7
Ten score involvements, but couldn’t hit the middle for his own major! He picked up 20 disposals, ran the ball well and had five shots, but unfortunately missed them all.

Trent Cotchin – 5
Quiet on the stats sheet, but did his job, as always. A goal topped it off for the now two-time premiership skipper.

Shane Edwards – 8.5
His skills are terrific – 21 possessions were at 81 per cent efficiency – and he had the most clearances of any Tiger with six.

Brandon Ellis – 4
Didn’t see much of him in what might be his last game in the yellow and black. Not a lot of influence, but a nice run up the wing to finish the game.

Dylan Grimes – 7
The new ‘general’ controlled the defence beautifully, he took 11 marks and was twice hit to the deck for free kicks to be reversed in the middle of the ground. Won the chocolates against Jeremy Cameron.

Bachar Houli – 8.5
Without a lot of credit today, this guy carried the ball of half-back beautifully. He had 26 disposals and six rebound 50s, and his prayers at half-time were for success, which came in the way of a second premiership medal.

Kane Lambert – 6
A goal and twenty disposals, he enjoyed his second premiership with Richmond, a club he has repaid in spades.

Tom Lynch – 6.5
Involved from one of the earliest passages, he took some good contested marks, kicked a goal and did his part in this Tigers premiership. His dominance got Richmond through to the big dance, but today he took a backseat to the Jack and Dusty show.

Dustin Martin – 10
Unanimously voted as the Norm Smith medal winner, his second. Four goals and 22 disposals, his performance was simply sublime.

Toby Nankervis – 6
Did his job in the ruck and combined with Ivan Soldo for 42 hit-outs. He had seventeen disposals and is now a two-time premiership ruckman.

Marlion Pickett – 9
An AFL grand final debut for the mid-season draftee and he did not look out of place at all. Immediately had impact in the middle and hit the scoreboard in the third quarter, very humble too in the circumstances.

Dion Prestia – 7
Very, very good early, until Matt De Boer matched up with him. He shook the tag a little in the second half and finished with 22 disposals, but it was no stand-out performance today.

Jack Riewoldt – 8.5
He put last week’s shocker behind him and kicked five goals today. In the second term he got away from Phil Davis and was instrumental in taking the match away from GWS.

Daniel Rioli – 4.5
His goal on the siren to finish the first term gave the Tigers the momentum. Eight score involvements and four tackles. His pressure was great, particularly early.

Jayden Short – 7
We heard his name a bit, helped in locking the ball inside Richmond’s forward 50, with five rebound 50s and three score involvements.

Ivan Soldo – 6
Kicked a beautiful goal and worked hard in the ruck. Finished the game with some good intercepting marking, what a story this guy has and now it includes an AFL premiership medal.

Nick Vlastuin – 7
Pretty good day out for this defender. Held Greene at times and was one of the best defenders, on a day when the ball spent little time down there.
