The 2019 AFL grand final between the GWS Giants and Richmond Tigers promises to be a cracking match. We’ve got all the information you need to live stream the match and watch it on TV so you don’t miss a minute of the action.

The Tigers have hit season-best form at the perfect time and will be difficult to overcome as they look to make it two premierships in three years.

Meanwhile, GWS are likely to welcome back two of their stars, Toby Greene and Lachie Whitfield, and proved in last week’s nail-biting win against the Pies that they’re not afraid of the big stage. This match-up certainly won’t be one to miss.

Here’s all the information you need to know to follow the game via live stream, TV, or on radio once it begins at 2:30pm (AEST) this afternoon.

How to live stream the AFL grand final online
7plus is streaming the grand final live, as well as all of Channel Seven’s pre and post-game coverage. Their all-day coverage began at 9am (AEST) and will conclude at approximately 6pm. First bounce is 2:30pm.

However, there are some significant caveats to their streaming of the match.

The 7plus website lists these following devices/platforms as your options for streaming the decider: Telstra TV (1, 2 and 3), Apple TV (4th gen), Fetch TV, Android TV, PlayStation 4, and Samsung TVs built in 2016 or later.

That means their website will not be showing the match, nor will the 7plus iOS and Android apps.

Another streaming option is the AFL Live Pass. The app is available on iOS and Android devices and is free to stream for certain Telstra customers. For everyone else, you’ll need to pay a subscription fee.

The usual Foxtel Go, and Kayo streaming will not be available.

However, if you are a Foxtel subscriber, you will still have access to Fox Footy’s pre and post-game coverage on your preferred device with the Foxtel app.

This coverage has been running since yesterday with a marathon of old grand final replays and will continue long into the night. They’ll also be airing replays of this year’s decider between the Giants and Tigers at 6pm and 9pm.

Kayo subscribers will also be able to watch replays of the big game on-demand soon after the final siren.

If you’re overseas and want to watch the game, Watch AFL is your best option. They show every AFL game of the year live for international viewers, and have a grand final pass for those of you who just want to watch today’s game.

How to watch the AFL grand final on TV
Channel Seven’s exclusive live television coverage is identical to the 7plus schedule mentioned above which includes a three-hour pre-game analysis, the full game live in HD, and the presentation ceremony afterwards.

As a result, and as is the case with your streaming options, Fox Sports’ usual broadcast of Seven’s live coverage will not be available for the grand final. However, those with the relevant Foxtel subscription will be able to enjoy the aforementioned Fox Footy pre and post-game scheduling.

How to listen to the AFL grand final on radio
If you want to listen to live radio commentary of the grand final there are three stations to choose from. 3AW, ABC Grandstand, and SEN are all broadcasting the game live, and will all include pre and post-game coverage.

Be sure to check out your local frequencies to tune into these stations. All stations are also available and free via their respective websites and apps.
