With two premierships and a minor premiership in three seasons, there’s no denying Richmond are the AFL’s benchmark team.

Their high-pressure, chaotic style of football has revolutionised the way the game is played, with opponent after opponent simply unable to keep up with the frenetic energy they exert.

With the Tiger dynasty in full swing what, if anything, can the rest of the competition do to keep up with them?

Can anyone match the style of football they play and do it better? Or is it a case of someone needing to find a new way to play the game that counters their style?

We were joined on the Game of Codes podcast by Roar AFL expert Marnie Cohen to look at the Tigers’ strengths and work out just how they can be beaten – as well as which clubs are the best poised to pull it off.

Listen to the discussion:

With Alex Rance, Jack Graham, Jack Higgins, Kamdyn McIntosh among some of the names to miss out on a medal for Richmond this year, knocking them off in 2020 will take some doing.
