The Australian Supercars are ready to roar to life at one of the world’s most famous tracks for another edition of the Bathurst 1000, but one of the key questions asked each is year is just who are the co-divers? Well, luckily, with The Roar’s handy guide, you won’t need to ask that question anymore.

The Bathurst 1000, which runs for 161 laps around 6.2 punishing kilometres of the Mount Panorama Circuit at Bathurst in country New South Wales, is driven by teams of two, unlike much of the Supercars season.
It means each driver needs to find themselves a teammate to go racing with for the big day, where they then swap off in turns to complete the race, with the co-driver having to complete a minimum of 54 laps – that means the main driver can’t do any more than 107, or roughly 670 kilometres of the race.
This year, the co-drivers are headlined by the recently retired Craig Lowndes, who returns to his old team at Red Bull Racing to partner Jamie Whincup, while former winner Garth Tander will be in the same garage alongside New Zealander Shane Van Gisbergen.
Championship leader Scott McLaughlin will partner Alex Premat, while David Reynolds partners with Luke Youlden once again at Erebus Motorsport in a repeat of the combination that won a rain-hit 2017 race.
Veteran Steven Richards will have another go at the mountain alongside Mark Winterbottom, while Tony D’Alberto and Michael Caruso, driving alongside Fabian Coulthard and Cameron Waters respectively, are other familiar names when it comes to the mountain.
