A spot in the knockout stage at this year’s Rugby World Cup is all but assured for the Wallabies, but they’ve still got a lot to prove in their last pool stage match against Georgia.

Amazingly, it’s the first time in Test rugby history these two nations have faced off, but Michael Cheika’s side will be expected to get familiar very quickly and put in a confidence-boosting dominant performance to hit the quarter-finals with a full head of steam.

How do the Wallabies go about securing the win? What result should fans be happy with?

We were joined by Roar rugby expert Geoff Parkes on the
Game of Codes podcast to preview Australia’s clash with Georgia and make a call on how it’ll end up finishing.

Australia’s World Cup campaign has been solid so far, but far from spectacular. After a very hard-fought win over Fiji to open things up, they went down narrowly to Wales before recovering from a slow start to put away Uruguay.

It’s been rocks for diamonds for the Georgians, with thumpings at the hands of Wales and Fiji at least partially offset with a slick victory over Uruguay in between.
