It’s been something of an uneventful AFL trade period so far but, with just two days left for players to be exchanged, that could all change.

With plenty of the trade period’s biggest names – including Joe Daniher, Tom Papley, Brad Hill and Jack Steven – still yet to complete their requested moves,

Will these deals end in a stalemate? Which clubs are asking for too much? What will it take for the big deals to finally get done?

We were joined by Roar AFL expert and editor Josh Elliott on the Game of Codes podcast to preview the last 48 hours of trade action and make a call on what will and won’t happen before the Wednesday night deadline.

Listen to all the discussion in the player above.

The Roar’s comprehensive trade coverage will continue right up until the final siren tomorrow night. We’ll have trade blogs running right up until the deadline, with all the latest news and rumours. Thursday’s episode of the Game of Codes podcast will also have a comprehensive trade wrap, where we dissect all the last-minute deals.

Visit our Game of Codes hub to catch the full episode and be sure to subscribe and review on iHeartRadio, Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts or wherever else you’re listening.
