The 2019 AFL trade period is in the books and the Rugby World Cup quarter-finals are just around the corner, making Episode 53 of The Roar’s Game of Codes podcast an action-packed one.

We start hot off the heels of the dramatic final day of player movement, with Roar AFL expert and editor Stirling Coates joining us in studio to analyse the biggest deadline day deals, before going on to make a call on who the biggest winners and losers are with all player trades now finalised.

Who paid overs and who stole a bargain? Which player is set to shine in their new environment? We answer all the big questions following an eventful two days of trading.

Then, we move onto the Rugby World Cup quarter-finals with Roar rugby expert Brett McKay. We start off with a preview of Japan versus South Africa – will there be shades of 2015 about this one too?

We take a good look at the All Blacks’ clash with Ireland next, with Ireland’s two recent wins over New Zealand making for a spicy encounter. After briefly analysing the Wales-France clash, we then sink our teeth into the Wallabies’ game against England.
