Who's knocking on the Test selection door?

The Sheffield Shield is in full swing, with plenty of Test hopefuls plying their trade with bat and ball around the country in the hope of getting themselves a baggy green come summertime.

We’ve only had a small handful of matches so far, but already some players are putting their best foot forward for a spot in the Test XI, while others are seemingly doing everything they can to stay out of the side.

We were joined on the Game of Codes podcast by Roar cricket expert Glenn Mitchell to look at who’s been shining at state level – and who’s been floundering.

Spots to open the batting will be hotly contested, while the middle order also needs some work. Steve Smith has been impressive, of course, while Marnus Labuschagne has continued right where he left off after the Ashes – but is anyone else putting their case forward convincingly with the bat?
